This was a fairly complex commissioned piece of work. The unique features include:

• Using antique tsuba, fuchi, kashira and menuki from Japan (made with iron and gold foils)
• Mounting menuki on the top of handle wrap
• Gold plated seppas
• Making gold plated habaki with diagonal fine lines
• Ishime saya that built up multiple layers of charcoal powder for texturing
